consulting, feasibility testing and implementation with highest precision

Here you find some answers to the most frequently asked questions around our joining technologies.

How do I benefit from using swiftJOIN over conventional joining technologies?

In comparison to adhesive bonding, swiftJOIN has much shorter process times. Additionally the connections are media tight and don´t need any additional material. On top of that, the process is fully reversible.

Can the connection be disassembled?

Connections established by swiftJOIN can not only be disassembled but also re-joined multiple times with almost no loss of strength.

This requires a special interface design and process control, which we will be happy to develop for your specific application.

Which industry sectors can profit from using thermal direct joining

Automotive, electronics, consumer and industrial goods, aerospace, sports equipment…

Can I book a tech intro with you?

Sure! Please contact us via phone or email

Are you offering inhouse workshops?

Yes we do offer practice oriented workshops and trainings on thermal direct joining. There we can evaluate your product portfolio in terms of potential cost savings through thermal direct joining.

How long does a typical joining process take?

Less than 10 seconds.

Which joining technologies do you offer?

We focus on thermal direct joining. However our goal is to find the right technology at the right place at the right budget for you. for you. Thanks to many years of experience in the field of bonding and laser welding, we carry out cost comparisons of the various joining solutions.

Which materials are suitable for thermal direct joining

All types of thermoplastics (with any type and content of filling) in combination with all types metals.

This includes: PE, PP, PA, PBT, POM, PPS, PEEK and on the other side: aluminium, steel, titanium, brass, copper, magnesium…

In special cases also plastic/plastic or metal/metal combinations can be joined

I want to see the process live!

You are welcome to visit us in our Tech Center in Radeberg (next to Dresden) at any time.

We are manufacturing samples and prototypes for our customers there as well.

What are typical application areas for swiftJOIN®

A lot of applications revolve around closing electronic housings out of aluminium die casting and plastic covers.

The benefit of using swiftJOIN® is that the joining area can be dramatically reduced and that no sealings or screws are necessary.

Additionally the process is easily automatable and reversable.
